6 Ways to Prevent Fungal Infection During a Picnic/Camping


In our busy day to day lives today, we hardly have any time for leisure and relaxation with family and friends. Going on a camping trip or picnic with your loved ones is an ideal way to get away from your boring office life and enjoy in the nature’s lap for some time. Warm and moist weather conditions, generally found around a campsite or picnic spot, are ideal conditions for the development of fungi. While we take off our shoes and walk with our dear ones in the wet grass, there is a high possibility of the fungi coming in contact with our feet and causing ringworm.

1.   If you want to remove your shoes while walking in the grass, wear sandals instead of walking barefoot.
2.   Love to play in water? Go ahead, but make sure you take a bath in clean water and thoroughly dry your skin afterwards.
3.   After your long, tiring, sweaty day of picnic is finally over, have a shower and wear clean clothes and remember to properly dry your skin.
4.   Wash your feet properly, especially between your toes.
5.   Use shampoo to clean your hair ensure to dry them well.
6.   Wear clean cotton socks once your feet are dry after a bath.
Remember to wash your wet clothes in warm water once you reach back home and allow them to dry under sunlight. It is also necessary to keep your wet shoes out in the sun to get rid of any left-over moisture.
If by chance you still get infected, regularly applying some of the best antifungal creams is highly effective in curing fungal infections like ringworm, jock itch, and athlete’s foot.
